Cuteness Friday Trifecta – Part 1…Puppy Gets Stuck in Sleeve

July 20, 2012

Oh boy, after waking to the horrific news of the crazy ‘I’m the Joker’ gunman bursting into a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colorado last night and killing 12 people, and injuring nearly 60 more (including a 3 month old infant), I think we all need a little cuteness in our lives – as soft and fluffy and adorable as possible.

Above we have an adorable puppy who got stuck in a sweater sleeve. I know, I know, we all feel bad when someone laughs at a cute animal getting stuck or tangled up in something. That person should help, we say. But if it’s ever happened to you and your pet, you want to help, you really do, but you end up simply laughing so much you can’t move. You’re helpless. Honest.

Jedi Turtles

June 8, 2012

It’s Friday night, almost Saturday, and I decided to stupidly cook a curry for a party tomorrow. What am I thinking? I still have other things to do, too. I really, really wish I had some Jedi turtles (or any other kind of Jedi, really) around to help me with the Force.

Why, they could make all the food cook by itself. Or they could, when guests arrive tomorrow, make them think there was all this amazing and delicious food, when really there would just be a packet of Doritos and Krasdale onion dip mix.

Hmmm, if the Jedi turtle owners don’t like them to use their Jedi powers, maybe I could borrow them for the day…

Anyway, enjoy this cute little video.

Simon’s Cat In ‘Tongue Tied’

May 29, 2012

The cats win again today, simply because I discovered a new Simon’s Cat on youtube. That means we call get to take a break from the oppressive heat (note: it’s going to rain sometime soon in NYC, right? Right?) and feel warm in the right way – the fuzzy, good feeling way.

In this adventure, Simon’s cat decides to investigate the garden and meets a toad. Of course, trouble and fun ensues…

These are just great as they really capture the nature of cats, and they’re absolutely delightful.

Tomorrow, though, we’ll bring you something dog related. We promise. In the mean time, keep cool and enjoy Simon’s cat’s latest adventure!

Meet Disco, The Talking Parakeet

May 21, 2012

This little green guy is called Disco (in case you can’t tell from the video), and he’s a talking parakeet (budgie to some).

We love all animals around here, and Disco is pretty awesome!

If you have a parakeet and it doesn’t talk, don’t be sad. It takes a lot of time and attention every day to get your bird to talk. If you do have a talking parakeet, send us a video, we’d love to show it.

And, in case you haven’t yet, don’t forget to send your donation of $50 and a photo of your pet to help support the Paint the Bus project for Animal Aid USA. All proceeds will go towards saving shelter animals across the country – and Lorenzo will be driving the bus!

The Mean Kitty Song

May 15, 2012

As you know, I’m a little behind the times, but I do try and bring you entertaining things that I find on the interwebs. Like this song. I have no idea where it’s from, or if someone else did it first, but it’s cute and funny and Sparta the kitty is adorable.

Yay for kitties.

Okay, now, can someone please write a song for Marvin? Otherwise, he’s gonna get jealous.

Anyway, enjoy!

Jedi Turtles Return!

May 4, 2012

I admit it, I didn’t even know there was an original Jedi Turtles. Me bad. However, I’ll be rectifying that asap.

In the meantime, why don’t you sit back, relax (maybe line up some original Star Wars fun – but none of that JarJar Binks malarky, okay?), and enjoy Jedi Turtles.

What’s doubly awesome about this is (if you’re in anyway geeky, nerdy, or a Star Wars fan) today is apparently Star Wars Day – May the 4th be with you.

That’s right.

May the 4th be with you.

So, so, corny, nerdy and brilliant, all in one fell swoop. And there are turtles! Turtles battling it out, Jedi style.

Cat Alarm Clock

April 19, 2012

Cat alarm clock? I think every person who owns a cat (okay, we admit it…every person who’s been OWNED by a cat, or cats) knows that when a cat wants attention it will get that attention. And they are mighty fine alarm clocks. Usually, it’s a cat jumping on you, or softly smacking you in the face with a paw (claws not distended) to wake you up to let you know it’s time to feed a certain cat, or…or this.

Boo the adorable ginger kitty apparently doesn’t like being alone, so he wakes his people up every morning at 5 am.

I’m really not too sure about the 5am thing…I think I’d do my best to get kitty to wake me at a more agreeable time (you do this with bribes. Cats love bribes), or I’d let kitty sleep in the room with me, so I didn’t get the daily 5am waking up.

I know, I know, for some of you out there 5am is a perfectly acceptable time to get up, but not me.

Anyway, enjoy the video, and don’t forget to take advantage of the April deal for Royal Treatment, it’s really amazingly awesome!
