Here’s a Monday morning summer special – an adorable puppy playing. If that doesn’t help your heart feel as warm as this heatwave that keeps on giving, then I don’t know what will.
This is sadly our last blog entry for a while, but hopefully we’ll be back at some point, bringing you news, fun, and cute animals – not to mention all the great things Lorenzo does for all the animals out there who are unable to help themselves. But don’t worry, while the blog is going into hybernation (or at least this part of it), Royal Treatment will be still sharing their amazing products with you and your fur babies.

Oh boy, after waking to the horrific news of the crazy ‘I’m the Joker’ gunman bursting into a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colorado last night and killing 12 people, and injuring nearly 60 more (including a 3 month old infant), I think we all need a little cuteness in our lives – as soft and fluffy and adorable as possible.
Above we have an adorable puppy who got stuck in a sweater sleeve. I know, I know, we all feel bad when someone laughs at a cute animal getting stuck or tangled up in something. That person should help, we say. But if it’s ever happened to you and your pet, you want to help, you really do, but you end up simply laughing so much you can’t move. You’re helpless. Honest.

Remember how PETA is going to launch their porn site, which will also be filled with videos and pictures of suffering animals? Don’t worry, this video has nothing to do with ‘suffering porn’.
It’s a slightly strange and cruelty and suffering free video from the ASPCA.
Most of us know puppy mills are bad, bad things. Puppy mills are not a place filled with shiny, happy Royal Treatment dogs. They’re places of sadness and illness and cruelty, where dogs are relentlessly forced to breed over and over again. Puppies are crammed into cages and taken away from their mothers too young, then shipped out to pet stores who sell them.
While we know not to buy them, there are people out there who will buy a puppy mill puppy because they believe they’re helping out the puppy: but buying a puppy mill puppy only supports this cruel and horrible industry.
For the ASPCA, even shopping at pet stores that sell puppies is supporting the industry. Their message is quite simple: most puppies sold in pet stores come from puppy mills. If a pet store sells puppies, don’t shop there for anything.
In my humble opinion, I think this is a good message. I only shop at holistic no-pets-for-sale pet stores, where it’s about the animal, and selling high end quality products that don’t hurt the animals – and these kinds of stores won’t sell puppies because they love pets, and loving pets means trying to rid our world of puppy mills.
What do you think?

There are lots of stories I could bring you, but some of them are depressing. Besides, what better way to spend the weekend than oohing and aahing over puppies?
See, I told you. Puppies are where it’s at.
Puppies are everywhere (it is, apparently, the season), and these puppies are seriously Cute. Yes, cute with a capital C.
Of course, as Huffington Post says (who brings us the puppyfest 2011) not all dogs have a home. And that the Humane Society estimated that there are between 3 to 4 million cats and dogs who are euthanised each year because they don’t have homes.
Not trying to get anyone down, but if you want a dog or a cat, please adopt.
Okay, now sit back, click right here, and enjoy lots of puppy cuteness.

It’s time to break out the nachos and get ready for….Puppy Bowl! (Forget Super Bowl…heheh, we’re just kidding!) Animal Planet will be broadcasting their 7th Puppy Bowl for all you football and puppy fans out there – and there sure are a lot of you!
Puppy Bowl is fun and features adorable pups who come from shelters and are adoptable. Since Lorenzo will be attending (and hopefully tweeting) from the fundraiser on the LES for NYC’s homeless animals, we feel the Puppy Bowl is a cool thing to report on.
To read more, head on over to our favourite (not to mention most fabulous) sister site, Haute or Not Pets!

Had a rough week? Feeling drained and that upsets you because it’s Saturday and you want to enjoy yourself? Well, fret no more, because we have the perfect antidote for you, a puppy!
But not only a puppy – it’s a puppy attempting to attack a dandelion. Evil dandelion, it needs to be killed, now!
Enjoy the cuteness.

For a quite rare dog, the Portuguese Water Dog is very well known. this is because Barrack Obama, president of the United States, chose this dog for the First Dog.
The PWD was a working dog who, as you may have guessed, worked with the fishermen, helping to herd fish into the nets (like sheep). They would also retrieve broken nets and tackles and the like, and even act as courier from ship to shore.
Nowadays, they enjoy a life of leisure, with some of them entering dog shows and others living it up as a beloved family pet.
The PWD is meant to be hyperallergenic, which is good news for people allergic to dogs (though it’s recommended to spend time with the dog before you buy, just to make sure). They don’t shed, which is another great thing. Of course, since they love water, bath time with some fabulous luxury dog shampoo is a breeze.
Enjoy the adorable video above…because, who doesn’t love puppies?
